Air Jordan 1 – An iconic model that returns in classic style
The Air Jordan 1, first released in 1985, has enjoyed a huge cult following to this day. The latest iteration of the model pays homage to the 1985 details, presenting the classic silhouette and the iconic "Bred" colorway (black and red), which, alongside "Chicago," is one of the most recognizable and coveted colorways in the history of the AJ1. This model is a particularly faithful recreation of the original, with details that bring it closer to the original than any previous reissue.
Compared to the standard versions, this edition features thicker, premium leather and synthetic leather. Additionally, a more refined toe shape, a vertical heel line, an improved Wing logo and a recreation of the original Swoosh logo and tongue label have been introduced. Every detail – from the material lining the inside of the shoe, through the width of the seams, to the texture of the sole and midsole walls – has been carefully recreated to reflect the character of the original as faithfully as possible.
This special edition also comes with the original packaging and hangtag, which will surely please fans of the brand. The history of the Air Jordan 1 dates back to 1984, when the NBA banned Michael Jordan from wearing black and red Nike shoes (initially the 1984 Air Ship model). This ban became the beginning of a legend that will come back to life in 2025, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1.
